COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3645
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE AN UPDATE TO THE DESIGN
OBJECTIVES PLAN PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED BY COMMISSION RESOLUTION
NO. 2854.
WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 9th day of March 1992, adopt Commission
Resolution No. 2854, establishing the Design Objectives Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission identified the need to amend the Design Objectives
Plan to more accurately reflect current conditions, especially in the North 19th Avenue and West Oak
Street corridor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has developed a unified development ordinance to govern
the use, subdivision and development of land; and
WHEREAS, certain changes proposed to occur upon the effective date of the unified
development ordinance affect the North 19th Avenue and West Oak Street corridors; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to coordinate the timing of the adoption of the unified
development ordinance with an update of the standards contained in the Design Objectives Plan for
the North 19th Avenue corridor; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission, after providing public notice and conducting public
hearings to receive testimony regarding a proposed update to the North 19th Avenue corridor Design
Objective Plan standards, made a favorable recommendation regarding the proposed update; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission provided public notice and conducted public hearings to
receive testimony regarding a proposed update to the North 19th Avenue corridor Design Objective
Plan standards; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission found the update of the Design Objective Plan standards
for the North 19th Avenue and West Oak Street corridors to be superior to the existing standards; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, at its public hearing on September 22, 2003, directed staff
to bring back a resolution adopting the proposed update to the Design Objectives Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana:
Section 1
That the updated Design Objectives Plan, North 19th Avenue and West Oak Street corridor
chapter, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated as though fully set forth herein, is hereby
adopted by reference.
Section 2
The effective date of this resolution is January 5, 2004.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 5th day of January 2004.
