BACKGROUND: One bid was received for a 2010 Refuse Packer for use in the Solid Waste Collection Division. After reviewing the bid submitted, the Solid Waste Systems bid for a total of $129,521,00 meets our requirements. We recommend the bid for trade-in be accepted, as the existing refuse body is of little use to us for parts. This bid includes placing the packer on our truck chassis at the Wayne factory, with no additional expense to us. Base Bid with Trade-In $117,424 Options: - Service Hoist 3,824 - Remote Grease Line 108 - Side Body Reverse Flood Lights 538 - Strobe Light 336 - Center High Mount Stop Light 269 - Rubber Mud Flaps 202 - Warranty, 12 month extended (24 months total) 6820 TOTAL BID PRICE $129,521 UNRESOLVED ISSUES: The FY11 budget is scheduled for adoption on September 13, 2010.
