COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3668
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN
TO TRANSFER AN APPARATUS OF THE BOZEMAN FIRE DEPARTMENT TO A
COUNTY OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE STATE OF
MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has retired the 1977 W.S. Darley Pumper T ruck, VI N Number
134234; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman can no longer use the retired apparatus and has replaced it
with other equipment; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-8-101(2), Montana Code Annotated, grants the City of Bozeman the
power to dispose of any property which is not necessary for the conduct of the City business to any
county or other political subdivision without an ordinance, public auction, bids or appraisal upon passage
of a resolution of intent to so dispose of the property with proper notice under Section 7-1-4127, Montana
Code Annotated..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana:
Section 1
That it is hereby declared to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman to dispose of the
1977 W.S. Darley Pumper Truck, VIN Number 134234, to the Montana Department of Public Instruction,
a political subdivision of the State of Montana, for use in their advanced drivers training workshops for
firefighter training or as they may best determine in their Traffic Education Program or other program.
Section 2
That, pursuant to Section 7-8-101, M.C.A., the Clerk of the Commission shall cause notice to
be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle at least once a week for three (3) successive weeks, which
notice shall be to the effect that such Resolution has been duly and legally passed and further expressing
the City's intent to dispose of the item listed in Section 1, in the manner described herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commissi 0 he City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 5th day of April, 2004.

NOTICE
The City of Bozeman, having passed Commission Resolution No. 3668, and pursuant to the
provisions of Section 7-8-101, Montana Code Annotated, hereby serves notice of its intent to dispose
of a 1977 W.S. Darley Pumper Truck, VIN Number 134234, previously used in the City of Bozeman to
the Montana Department of Public Instruction, a political subdivision of the State of Montana.
