Vehicle Maintenance Building and HRDC Bus Barn.
MEETING DATE: August 23, 2010
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to sign the contract with Nishkian
Monks Engineering for welding inspection for the Vehicle Maintenance Building and HRDC
Bus Barn in the amount of $400.00.
BACKGROUND: Nishikan Monks Engineering has provided structural engineering services
as a sub-contractor - under the general architectural contact for the Vehicle Maintenance Building

have the proper depth of penetration.
Attached is a copy of the scope of services and terms and conditions for these inspection
services from Nishkian Monks Engineering. The contract is an hourly rate and details the
needed level of service for the project. The contract is a not to exceed amount of $400.00
The number of tests has been confirmed with the Architect and the Contractor. As per the
requirements of the Memorandum of Understanding for the project, HRDC has also approved
this proposal.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None related to this particular action.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
