COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3682
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, STATING THE CITY'S INTENT TO REVISE THE BOZEMAN 2020
COMMUNITY PLAN BY AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM
"RESIDENTIAL" AND "NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL" TO "REGIONAL
COMMERCIAL AND SERVICES" ON 33.97 ACRES WHICH IS DESCRIBED AS
LOT 4, HOME DEPOT MINOR SUBDIVISION NO 319, SITUATED IN THE
NORTHEAST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH, RANGE 5
EAST, MONTANA PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN.
WHEREAS, Planning staff has processed an application for a Growth Policy Amendment to
revise the Future Land Use Map on a 33.97-acre parcel lying west of North 19th Avenue between
Tschache Drive and West Oak Street, in the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan; and
WHEREAS, the application for a Growth Policy Amendment would amend the Future Land Use
Map from "Residential" and "Neighborhood Commercial" to "Regional Commercial and Services" on the
33.97 acres of said property; and
WHEREAS, the Planning staff assessed the application in light of the criteria set forth for review
of Growth Policy Amendments contained in the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Planning Board conducted a public hearing on an application
for said amendment at its regular meeting held on April 6, 2004, taking into careful consideration the
criteria set forth for review of Growth Policy Amendment applications; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Planning Board found that the application complies with the
approval criteria established in Section 2.4.1 of the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan, and that the
proposed amendment does constitute an overall improvement to the Plan; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to its public hearing, the City of Bozeman Planning Board voted, on
a vote of 5 to 2, to forward a recommendation for approval of the requested land use designations; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is scheduled to conduct its pUblic hearing on said amendment
at its regular meeting held on April 19, 2004, to consider the applicant's request to amend the Bozeman
2020 Community Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, that it intends to revise the growth policy to amend the Future Land Use Map from "Residential"
and "Neighborhood Commercial" to "Regional Commercial and Services" on a 33.97-acre parcel lying

west of North 19th Avenue between Tschache Drive and West Oak Street, in the Bozeman 2020
Community Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 19th day of April 2004.
