MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS
BOZEMAN, MONTANA
Thursday, July 12, 2010

The Board of Ethics of the City of Bozeman met in the Gallatin room, City Hall at 121 North
Rouse on Monday, July 12, 2010. Present were Board members Melissa Frost, Stephen Schultz
and Rodger McCormick, and Deputy City Clerk Aimee Kissel.
A. Meeting Called to Order
Chairperson Melissa Frost called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
B. Public Comment
Melissa Frost opened public comment.
No person commented.
Melissa Frost closed public comment.
C. Disclosure of information or comments received.
None.
D. Approve minutes from June 03, 2010.
It was moved by Rodger McCormick, seconded by Stephen Schultz to approve the minutes
from June 3, 2010.
Those voting Aye being Mr. McCormick, Mr. Schultz and Ms. Frost.
Those voting No being none.
The motion passed 3-0.
E. Discussion regarding presentation of the ethics handbook to the Commission during
tonight’s Commission meeting.
The Board strategized how best to present the information to the Commission. It was decided
that Aimee Kissel would provide the Commission with a brief background, and then introduce
the board. Stephen Schultz would then speak, emphasizing several salient points and answering
questions from the Commission.
F. Review of City Website
Ms. Kissel explained that the new website has a revised ethics site. Board members were asked
to inform Ms. Kissel of any discrepancies within the content, etc.

G. New Business
The board decided to take the remainder of the summer off and reconvene during
September.
Stephen Schultz would like staff and board members to assist him with board recruitment
as he does not want to serve any longer.
