COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. J.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
STATING THEIR INTENT TO DISPOSE OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY INCLUDING TWO
LIBRARY SELF-CHECK MACHINES.
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Library was able to upgrade to three new 3M self-check
machines this past spring, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Library has two old Checkpoint self-check machines that
were purchased in September of 2003, and;
WHEREAS, the Bozeman City Library sees no need due to the upgrade to keep the two old
Checkpoint self-check machines, and;
WHEREAS, the Bozeman City Library would like to sell the two old Checkpoint self-check
machines due to their age and their lack of maintainability to North Valley Public Library for a total of
$1,000, and;
WHEREAS, Montana Code Annotated 7-8-4201. Disposal or lease of Municipal Property
Section 2 (a) states that a transfer must be made by an ordinance or a resolution passed by two-thirds
vote of all the members of the council;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, that:

In accordance with the requirements of Section 7 -8 -4201, it is the intent of the Bozeman City
Commission to sell the two old Checkpoint self -check machines due to their age and their lack of
maintainability for a total of $1,000 to North Valley Public Library.
