Norton Ranch East presented the CAHAB with information regarding their Workforce Housing
Plan. Norton Ranch East requested support from the CAHAB for their individualized plan which
was reviewed prior to the meeting.
The CAHAB reviewed the proposed plan with the assistance of Doug Riley of the City Planning
Department.
The CAHAB recommended that staff draft a letter approving the Norton Ranch East plan with
the following information to be included:
Approval of the individual Workforce Housing Plan as submitted (9 detached units at
2010 prices on lots 4-12)
It should be noted that the developer is providing one lot in excess of the requirements
Meets the intent of the WFH ordinance
Norton Ranch East is also subject to RSL requirements, which are scattered throughout
Phases 1-3 (locations of which were previously reviewed and approved by the CAHAB).
As the subdivision is providing scattered RSLs, the CAHAB has allowed for increased
flexibility regarding scattering of the WFH units. For future subdivision proposals, the
CAHAB will require that units be scattered throughout the subdivision.
