MEETING DATE: May 17, 2010 AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent. RECOMMENDATION: Motion and vote to approve and authorize City Manager to sign Bozeman Water Reclamation Facility, Phase I Improvements—Change Order No. 6. BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy, of change order number 6 for the above referenced project. This change order includes 19 items. Four of the items are credits while the other fifteen are additions. Pages two through four of the document titled "Change Order No. 6 Summary" provides a short description of each of the items involved with this change. Additionally, the remainder of the document contains the detailed backup cost information for each item. No change in contract time is being provided with this change, The Substantial and Final Completion Contract Times are not changed. The final recommended decrease in cost and time extension for this change is reasonable and commensurate with the work involved. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission. FISCAL EFFECTS: Overall this change order decreases the contract amount by $2,122.86 from $36,452,937.76 to $36,450,814.90. This will increase the contingency on the project from $1,804,504.15 to $4,806,627.01. CPR 18 Manhole Adjustment This change provides for adjusting an existing sludge cleanout manhole to fit with the finish grade design. CPR 39 Remove two 24"valves from Contract This change removes two valves from the project as they could not be utilized due to existing piping conflicts. CPR 41 Modify Controls This change modifies controls for the RASMAS 2 Building based on field conditions. CPR 45 Headworks Channel and UFAT Vault Coatina This change modifies the type of corrosion protection coating for these structures. CPR 46 1 PLS Lift Station Grade This change increases the depth of the IPLS Lift Station to fit in with the final grade for the project. CPR 48 Splitter Structure Gates This change adds support to large stop gates in the splitter structure. Documentation included for this change is CPR 48 showing the breakdown of the costs and recommendation. CPR 50 Add Sampling Points This change adds sampling points for RAS. CPR 52 Add Conduits for Future Use This change adds spare electrical conduits from the main switch board for future use. Documentation included for this change is CPR 52 showing the breakdown of the costs and recommendation. CPR 55 Add Provisions for Effluent Sample This change adds connection of the effluent sampler into the control system so it can provide a flow paced sample and provides a house keeping pad for the sampler.
