ORDINANCE NO. 1437
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, FIXING THE MONTHLY SALARY AND OFFICIAL BOND OF THE
ACTING CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
. WHEREAS, James E. Wysocki has submitted his letter of resignation and will be
leaving the City's employ in early February; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is undertaking a nation-wide search for a new City
Manager; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that the recruitment process will take several months to
complete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana, that:
Section 1
Assistant City Manager Ron Brey is hereby appointed as Acting City Manager, to
. serve during the period between departure of the current City Manager and arrival of the new
City Manager.
Section 2
The monthly salary to be paid to, and the official bond to be given by, the Acting
City Manager of the City of Bozeman, Montana, be as follows, to wit:
Salary - $53,484.00 per annum/$4,457.00 per month plus deferred compensation
Official Bond - $20,000.00
Section 3
That the salary and official bond, as fixed by this ordinance, shall be effective from
his first day of serving as Acting City Manager through his last day of serving as Acting City
. Manager, at which time he shall be returned to his former position of Assistant City
Manager, and its attendant pay.

PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, on first reading
at a regular session thereof held on the 21 st day of January 1997.
