COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 4249
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA, CHANGING THE NAMES OF THREE
STREETS WITHIN DIAMOND ESTATES SUBDIVISION No. 2 PHASE 2
IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the names of three streets in Diamond
Estates Subdivision No. 2 Phase 2 (Amethyst Road, Emerald Avenue, and Jade Avenue)
are in conflict with existing street names in Gallatin County; and
WHEREAS, having different streets with the same or similar sounding names
can result in problems with emergency service responses and mail or other deliveries; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, on the 8th
day of February, 2010, at its regular meeting, passed and adopted Commission
Resolution No. 4235, declaring it to be the intention of the City Commission to change
the name of three streets in Diamond Estates Subdivision No. 2 Phase 2; and
WHEREAS, the notice of the adoption of said Resolution was published in the
Bozeman Daily Chronicle on February 17, 2010, as appears on the affidavit of
publication of the publisher of said Bozeman Daily Chronicle, which is on file with the
Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, said notice of the adoption of said Resolution has been served in
the manner of the service of summons in civil actions upon all persons owning property
in Diamond Estates Subdivision No. 2 Phase 2, whose property adjoins the affected

streets, which return of service is on file with the Clerk of the City Commission of the
City of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, said notice, as published and served, designated the 8th day of
March, 2010 at 6:00 o'clock p.m., at the Commission Room in the City Hall Building,
Bozeman, Montana, as the time and place for hearing objections; and
WHEREAS, no legal objections to said street name changes were presented on
the 8th day of March, 2010, at the regular meeting of the City Commission, nor were any
objections filed in writing prior to that meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Bozeman, Montana:
It is declared by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, that the
name of “Amethyst Road” is hereby changed to “Opal Street”, the name of “Emerald
Avenue” is hereby changed to “Agate Avenue”, and the name of “Jade Avenue” is
hereby changed to “Sunstone Street”, all located in Diamond Estates Subdivision No. 2,
Phase 2, City of Bozeman, as reflected on Exhibit “A” attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 22nd day of March, 2010.
