HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4211, Changing two street names in Meadow Creek71 1 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 4211 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF SAID COMMISSION TO CHANGE THE NAMES OF TWO STREETS WITHIN MEADOW CREEK SUBDIVISION PHASE 1 IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. WHEREAS, Rocky Mountain Bank of Bozeman, Montana, majority owner of the lots in Meadow Creek Subdivision Phase 1, has requested that Ainsworth Drive be re-named to Kurk Drive, and that Goldeneye Drive be re-named to Golden Sun Drive; WHEREAS, no objections to said street name changes were raised by city staff; WHEREAS, it appears to the City Commission that the proposed street name changes will not be detrimental to the public interests; and WHEREAS, it appears to the City Commission to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman and the inhabitants therein that said street name changes be favorably considered. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana: Section 1 Declaration of Intention It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, to change the name of “Ainsworth Drive” in Meadow Creek Subdivision Phase 1, City of Bozeman, to “Kurk Drive”, and to change the name of “Goldeneye Drive” in Meadow Creek Subdivision Phase 1 to “Golden Sun Drive” as reflected on Exhibit “A” attached hereto. Section 2 Notice 72 2 That the City Manager of the City of Bozeman is hereby directed to serve notice of the adoption of the resolution of intention in the same manner that service of summons is required upon all persons who are the owners or purchasers under contract for deed of property in Meadow Creek Subdivision Phase 1 and to publish notice once in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Bozeman, which notice shall state the time and place at which objections will be heard. Section 3 Time for Objections That the regular session of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman to be held at the Commission Meeting Room, City Hall, 35 N. Rouse Avenue, Bozeman, Montana, on Monday, the 9th day of November, 2009, at the hour of 6:00 pm.of said day is the time and place where and when the City Commission will hear all objections to said street name changes. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 12th day of October 2009. __________________________________ KAAREN JACOBSON Mayor ATTEST: ___________________________________ STACY ULMEN, CMC City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: __________________________________ GREG SULLIVAN City Attorney 73 74 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO CHANGE STREET NAMES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at its regular meeting held on the 12th day of October, 2009, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, duly and regularly passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 4211, entitled: COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 4211 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF SAID COMMISSION TO CHANGE THE NAMES OF TWO STREETS WITHIN MEADOW CREEK SUBDIVISION PHASE 1 IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Monday, the 9th day of November, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the Commission Room of City Hall, 35 N. Rouse Avenue, Bozeman, Montana, is designated as the time and place to hear objections to the change of name of Ainsworth Drive and Goldeneye Drive in the City of Bozeman, more particularly described in the Resolution of Intention, and is the time and place for any person who owns property in Meadow Creek Subdivision Phase 1 affected by the proposed name changes to appear and object, if they wish to do so.
