ORDINANCE NO. 1369
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AMENDING THE BOZEMAN ZONE MAP BY
ESTABLISHING AN INITIAL ZONING DISTRICT DESIGNATION OF "R-3"
((RESIDENTIAl--MEDIUM-DENSITY) ON 10.0 ACRES lOCATED IN THE
WEST % OF THE NORTHEAST % OF SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH,
RANGE 5 EAST, MONTANA PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, GAllATIN COUNTY,
MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the proposed zone map amendment has been properly submitted,
reviewed and advertised in accordance with the procedures of the provisionally adopted
Bozeman zoning ordinance, dated August 19, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board held a public hearing on May 4, 1993,
to receive and review all written and oral testimony on the request for a zone map
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Board recommended to the Bozeman City
Commission that the requested Zone Map Amendment to establish an initial zoning
designation of "R-3" be approved; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission held a public hearing on May 17/ 1993, to receive
and review all written and oral testimony on the request for a zone map amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has reviewed and considered the twelve zone
change criteria established in Section 76-2-304, M.C.A., and found the proposed zone map
amendment to be in compliance with the twelve criteria; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has found that the proposed zone map designation
of "R-3" will be in compliance with the Bozeman Area Master Plan and will be in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana:
That the zoning district designation of the following-described 10.0-acre tract is
hereby established as "R-3" (ResidentialnMedium-Density):
A tract of land located in the West half of the Northeast quarter of
Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, Montana Principal Meridian,
Gallatin County, Montana, and being further described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the West half of the West half of the
Northeast quarter of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East,
M.P.M., thence East 20 rods; thence North 80 rods; thence West 20 rods;
thence South 80 rods, to the place of beginning, containing ten (10)
acres, less thirty feet off of the entire south end of said tract for highway,
which is the extension of West Babcock Street, together with all water,

water rights, water ditches, water privileges and all other rights
appurtenant thereto, located in the County of Gallatin State of Montana.
PROVISIONALLY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 19th day of July 1993.
