ORDINANCE NO. 1401
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONT ANA, PROVIDING THAT THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE BE AMENDED
BY REVISING SECTIONS 10.32.380, 10.32.390 AND 10.32.395 OF SAID
CODE; PROVIDING FOR REDUCTION OF THE NUMBER OF TEMPORARY
VISITORS' PARKING PERMITS TO BE ISSUED TO EACH HOUSEHOLD; THE
LAWFUL USE
OF TEMPORARY VISITORS'
PARKING PERMITS; AND
SPECIFYING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMIT LOCATION ON THE VEHICLE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA:
SECTION 1
That Subsection A of Section 10.32.380 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be amended so
that Subsection 10.32.380.A. shall read as follows:
"10.32.380 RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT FORM AND ISSUANCE.
A. Upon approval by the City of the application of any person residing in a residential
parking permit only area, a residential parking permit shall be issued for each vehicle receiving
approval. Upon approval by the City of the application
of any person residing in a residential
parking permit only area for a temporary visitor's permit, such permit shall be issued by the City.
No more than tAfee. two temporary visitor's parking permits shall be issued annually for a single
residential dwelling unit. TemDorary visitors' Darkina Dermits shall be used only by visitors of the
dwellina unit to which the Dermits were issued and are valid onlv while visitina that dwellina unit. ..
SECTION 2
That Subsection A of Section 10.32.390 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be amended so
that Subsection 10.32.390.A. shall read as follows:
"10.32.390 LAWFUL DISPLAY OF RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMITS REQUIRED.
A. Unless otherwise aareed to by a Bozeman
Parkina Control Officer in writina,
rResidential parking permits and temporary visitors' permits shall bc displayed on a vehicle in the
place and in the manner proseribed by the City. shall be affixed to the left rear bumDer and
temDOrary visitors' Dermits and emDloyee permits shall be huna from the interior rear view mirror
facina the windshield. It is unlawful
to either fail to display or improperly display a residential
parking permit, or to attempt to use a residential parking permit from another area in a designated
residential area."
SECTION 3
That Subsection H. of Section 10.32.395 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be amended
so that Subsection 10.32.395.H. shall read as follows:
"10.32.395 MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY RESIDENTIAL ON-STREET PARKING PERMIT
REGULA TION PROGRAM.
H. No more than tAfee. two visitor permits
shall be issued annually to each single
residential dwelling unit for use by visitor vehicles."

SECTION 4
REPEALER
All resolutions, ordinances, and sections of
the Bozeman Municipal Code and parts thereof
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5
SEVERABILITY
If any provisions of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or
circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions of this ordinance
which may be given effect without the invalid provision or application and, to this end, the
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6
EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30)
days after final adoption as provided by law.

regular session thereof held on the 3rd day of July, 1995.
