ORDINANCE NO. 1545
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN.
MONTANA. AMENDING THE CITY OF BOZEMAN
ZONE MAP AND
ESTABLISHING AN INITIAL ZONING DESIGNATION OF "PLln (PUBLIC LANDS
AND INSTITUTIONS) ON 201.22 ACRES LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST
QUARTER AND SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 1 SOUTH,
RANGE 6 EAST. PRINCIPAL MONTANA MERIDIAN.
WHEREAS, the proposed zone map amendment to establish an initial zoning designation
of "PU", (Public Lands and Institutions) on 201.22 acres has been properly submitted, reviewed
and advertised; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Zoning Commission held a public hearing on July 18,
2000, to receive and review all written and oral testimony on the request for a zone map
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Zoning Commission recommended to the Bozeman City
Commission that the zone map amendment be approved; and
WHEREAS, after proper notice, the City Commission held its public hearing on August 7.
2000. to receive and review all written and oral testimony on the request for a zone map
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has reviewed and considered the twelve zone change
criteria established in Section 76~2~304, M.C.A.. and found the proposed zone map amendment.
to be in compliance with the twelve criteria; and
WHEREAS. at its meeting held on August 7, 2000. the City Commission found that the
proposed zone map amendment would be in compliance with the Bozeman Area Master Plan and
would be in the public interest contingent upon annexation of the subject property; and
WHEREAS. the subject property was annexed through adoption of Commission Resolution
No. 3461. adopted on the 30th day of July 2001; and.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana:
Section 1
That the zoning district designation of the following~described property is hereby initially
established as "PU" (Public Land and Institutions!.
A 201.22 acre tract of land being a portion of the SE Y.and SW Y. of Section 30,
T1 S. R6E, PMM, Gallatin County, Montana, and being further described as
follows:
Beginning at the East Quarter Corner of Section 30, Township 1 South, Range
6 East, Montana Principal Meridian; thence South 00058'16" West. along the
North/South section line, a distance of 2482.44 feet. to the Southeast Corner
of Section 30; thence South 880 15'39"West. along the East/West section line.
a distance of 2616.92 feet. to the South Quarter Corner of Section 30; thence
North 01 034'52"East, along the North/South quarter section line. a distance of
146.82 feet. to the centerline of Mcllhattan Road; thence following the
centerline of Mcllhattan Road through the following course: North 25023'47"

along the East/West quarter section line, a distance of 4215.21 feet to the Point
of Beginning.
Said tract contains 201.22 acres along with and subject to all existing easements of
record or of fact.
Section 2
The effective date is thirty days after final adoption of this ordinance on second reading.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, on first reading, at
