SUBJECT: Appointment to the Zoning Commission MEETING DATE: July 27, 2009

RECOMMENDATION: Appoint one new member to the Zoning Commission. BACKGROUND: The Zoning Commission has one on-going vacancy and one new
applicant. The expiration date for this term is January 31, 2011.
The Zoning Commission was re-created under Ordinance No. 1500, to establish procedures for the administration of the municipal zoning ordinance within the City limits. Resolution No.
3312 then established the membership of the Zoning Commission.
According to Resolution No. 3312: The Zoning Commission shall consist of five members appointed by the City Commission.
Members of the board shall serve two-year staggered terms. Persons of legal age may be
appointed to the board. All members must be residents of the City of Bozeman.
This board currently has one vacancy and one applicant.
