?
Will provide more information as to why each tree is designated P for parks, B
for boulevards and U for under utility lines.
?
Need to work on myth section to change the wording to have it coming from the

Copyright violations.

?
Forestry crews have removed 35 publicly owned trees that have been
infected; there are 4 pines still to be removed from Valley Unit Park and
several in the New Hyalite area.
?
Forestry crews are contacting home owners with infected trees to
educate and provide information.
There is no solution at this time for private individuals that need
o
assistance with removal and disposal of infected trees.
Some people are not removing trees yet because they are still
o
green.
Board members will research what is out there for assistance-
o
grant money.
The beetles can be controlled but it takes everyone to be on
o
board.
?
It is estimated that 1200 pheromone packets will be needed for city
trees, there are 23 pine trees in the cemetery alone so packets will be put
up randomly throughout the area.
?
Anyone discussing what pesticide or chemical to use to fight the Pine
Beetle must have an applicator license from the EPA. In order to get the
license 2 manuals need to be read and 2 tests need to be taken; Foreman
Stover is looking into getting his applicators license.
Chamber &/or DPB program:
?
There are 2 options for Foreman Stover to provide information:
A Board of Directors Social, they have 2 scheduled, one in March
o
and one in April.
A luncheon at the Chamber building where the public could be
o
present.
?
Boardmember Haugh will call Foreman Stover directly to discuss which
would work best for all involved and what expense there would be.
d)Arbor Day:
?
The City has a $1000.00 Arbor Day Grant available that does not have to
be for trees.
?
Forestry crews will plant trees at the new Chief Joseph School.
