HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009 Miscellaneous Curb Repair and Ped. Ramps Contract AgreementMEMORANDUM ~0~ Andrew Kerr Engineering Assistant 582-2286 To: Chris Kukulski, City Manager Date: June 4, 2009 Re: Contract Agreement - 2009 Miscellaneous Curb Repair and Ped. Ramps We solicited quotes for some spot curb repair work in areas we have slated for re-paving this year. The work was estimated to be less than $50,000.00, so advertised bids were not required. Included in the request was installation of ADA compliant curb ramps at 10 locations in the proposed re-paving area, which wrill be required to be done as a result of the paving improvements. Three quotes were received, with the low quote coming from DuMar Construction, Inc., in the amount of $24,982.20. This bid appears reasonable and commensurate with the work, and is below the estimated cost of $34,422.00. Funding for this work is available in the Street Maintenance fund. I recommend that you sign the attached Contract Agreement with DuMar Construction, Inc. so that we may proceed with completing this work. A bid tabulation is also attached. Please contact me if you have any questions.
