HomeMy WebLinkAboutAuthorize City Manager to sign the Service Agreement Contract between the City and Bozeman School District for Solid Waste Disposal Commission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Debra Arkell, Director of Public Service Chuck Winn, Assistant City Manager SUBJECT: Service Agreement between the City of Bozeman and the Bozeman School District for Solid Waste Disposal for 2009-2012 MEETING DATE: June 1, 2009 Consent Agenda RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to sign the Service Agreement Contract between the City of Bozeman and the Bozeman School District for Solid Waste Disposal for a 3 year period beginning July 1, 2009. BACKGROUND: The City of Bozeman Solid Waste Division has been awarded the bid for a three year contract with the Bozeman School District to provide solid waste removal. The contract will run from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012. The District will pay $56,957.20 from July 2009 until June 2010, $58,096.22 from July 2010 through June 2011 and $59,739.23 from July 2011 through June 2012. They will also pay $6.50 per cubic yard for any miscellaneous solid waste removed. FISCAL EFFECTS: A total of $174,792.65 will be paid to the Solid Waste fund over the 3 year contract period. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
