Minutes of the meeting held April 1, 2009
of Bozeman Senior Citizens' Advisory Board follow.
Members present: Ken Tiahrt, Ted Mangun, Don Pierre, and Milly Gutkoski.
Patricia Phillips and Charlotte Kress were on leave for medical reasons. Eric Bryson had other
commitments.
Meeting convened at 1:20 pm.

Item 1
. Public Comment – none.
Item 2
. “Older Americans Week in Bozeman” plans for May 17-23, 2009 were reviewed.
Only relatively minor details remain to be specified.
Immediately following the Older Americans Week, a letter to be published in the
Chronicle will be written thanking everyone who assisted with the Older Americans
Week commemoration in any way.
Don Pierre will serve as Vice Chair of the Senior Citizens Advisory Board for 2009.
It was noted that replacing the dining room floor in the Senior Center building is
scheduled to be started and finished this month. The work will be done by members of
the Southwest Montana Building Industry Association as their major volunteer project of
2009.
We believe it is imperative that public appreciation must be expressed by the appropriate
officials upon completion of this project. This desire will be forwarded to both Judy
Morrill, Director of the Senior Center, and to the City Manager, Mayor and
Commissioners encouraging the Senior Center and the City of Bozeman to formally
make this public expression of appreciation.
Items 3.
We will attempt to schedule Ron Dingman Director of Parks, Cemetery and
Recreation to visit with us at our June meeting about various issues regarding park
development within the city.
