SUBJECT: Purchase of one new 42 Cubic Yard Capacity Recycling Truck
MEETING DATE: March 3, 2008
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the low bid of $169,254.00 from Rocky Mountain Truck
Center.
BACKGROUND: The purchase of this truck has been scheduled in the CIP and approved in
the 08 budget for $240,000. Two bids were received and Rocky Mountain Truck was the low
bidder. Savings from budgeted amount is $70,746. The roll-off section continues to produce
revenue in excess of expenses.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The funds for this project will be drawn out of the Solid Waste Division
Enterprise Fund.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
