TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the undersigned is the owner as defined by §7-12-1103, MCA, of real property owned and
operated as a motel or hotel within the boundaries of the real estate set out on Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the undersigned requests the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana to pass a
resolution of intention to create a Tourism Business Improvement District which boundaries are the limits and
boundaries of the City of Bozeman as maybe amended from time to time, which boundaries are designated and
confirmed as the boundaries of the district; and
WHEREAS, after passage of the Notice of Intent to Create Tourism Business Improvement District and the
City of Bozeman has received written protests against the creation of this district; and
WHEREAS, if there is insufficient protest, the City of Bozeman pass a resolution creating the Tourism
Business Improvement District; and
WHEREAS, Petitioner requests that all hotels, lodging facilities and motels are specifically benefitted by the
activity and operations of the District and benefits derived by the parcel owned by the Petitioner is proportional to the
benefits derived by all of the similarly situated parcels within the District; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission use the assessment procedure for all lodging facilities with ten or more
lodging rooms within the boundary of the district shall be assessed $1.00 per occupied room night.
