SENIOR CITIZEN'S ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes of meeting held January 7, 2009 of Bozeman Senior Citizens' Advisory Board;
members present: Ken Tiahrt, Charlotte Kress, Patty Phillips, excused: Milly Gutkowski.
Meeting convened at 2 pm.
Agenda items.
I. Public Comment -None
2. Tentative plans for an Older Americans' Week in Bozeman as part of the National Older
Americans' Month were discussed and approved for preliminary implementation activity.
Proposed for the week of May 17-23, 2008.
To include as far as possible each community in the Gallatin Valley.
The week would have special mayoral proclamations.
Tentative plans for one-day focus events were approved as drafted and will be sent to
individuals in the following community sectors with requests for their input: Senior Centers,
senior service providers, The Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, physical fitness centers, The
Bozeman Hospital, RSVP, local churches, possibly other business sectors.
3. It is expected that appointments and re-appointments to this Board will take place within the
month.
4. Our February meeting will be on February 4 at 2 pm. At that time we will examine a possible
change of meeting day and time for the remainder of 2009. Board officials will also be identified
for the remainder 2009.
Meeting adjourned at 3 pm.
