Agreement Number: MT-2008-013 STATE OF MONTANA AGREEMENT This is an amendment to agreement MT-2008-013 made between City of Bozeman, PO Box 1230, Bozeman, Montana, 59771 (The "Sub-grantee") and the Montana Historic Preservation Office, Montana Historical Society, 1410 8th Ave, PO Box 201202 Helena, Montana 59620-1202 (The "Grantee"). The two parties, in consideration of mutual covenants and stipulations described below, agree as follows: SECTION I: SERVICES In addition to the services specified in the contract, the Sub-grantee shall: Send at least one (1) person from the Certified Local Government to attend the Montana Historical Society History Conference in Glasgow, Montana, October 16-18, 2008. "hhe attendee shall attend the entire history conference and not just the CLG training session. All work completed under this funding agreement must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology and Historic Preservation as interpreted by the Grantee. Final products or services that do not fulfill the requirements of this Agreement and do not comply with the appropriate Secretary of the Interior's Standards will not be reimbursed and any advance payments made in connection with such products or services must be repaid to the Grantee. SECTION II: EFFECTIVE DATE DURATION AND REMUNERATION The Amendment shall take effect as of July 1, 2008 and shall terminate March 31, 2009 unless a new termination date is set or the agreement is terminated pursuant to SECTION IV. Total payments by the "Grantee" for all purposes under this contract shall not exceed: $6,000.00. Payment shall be made on a reimbursement basis by request of Sub-grantee to the SHPO. To express the parties' intent to be bound by the terms of this Amendment, they have executed this document on the date set out below: Sub-grantee Date Administrator, Centralized Services Division Date Montana Historical Society Commission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor & City Commission FROM: Courtney Kramer, Assistant Planner for Historic Preservation SUBJECT: Ratify Mayor's signature on the State of Montana Historic Preservation Agreement enabling Assistant Planner for Historic Preservation, Courtney Kramer to attend the Montana Historical Society History Conference in Glasgow, Montana, October 16- 18, 2008. MEETING DATE: Monday, August 11, 2008 RECOMMENDATION: Ratify Mayor Jacobsen's signature on amendment to the State of Montana Historic Preservation Agreement enabling Assistant Planner for Historic Preservation, Courtney Kramer, to attend the Montana Historic Society History Conference in Glasgow, Montana, October 16-18, 2008. BACKGROUND: The Montana State Historic Preservation Office holds its Certified Local Government meetings for Historic Preservation Officers in conjunction with the annual Montana History Conference. The SHPO funds and coordinates attendance by Historic Preservation Officers on a reimbursement basis, but the CLG agreement must be amended prior to reimbursement. On Monday, August 4, 2008 Mayor Jacobsen signed one of two pages to amend the agreement. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: Staff is unaware of any unresolved issues at this time. FISCAL EFFECTS: As before stated, Planner Kramer's attendance will be paid for by the SHPO on a reimbursement basis. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
