A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, APPROVING ALTERATION/MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT
WITH JTL GROUP, INC., BELGRADE, MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission did, on the 31st day of May 2006, authorize award of the bid
for the Durston Road 7`" to 19`" project, to JTL Group, Inc., Belgrade, Montana; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-5-4308, Montana Code Annotated, provides that any such alterations or
modifications of the specifications and/or plans of the contract be made by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the prosecution of the work to make alterations or
modifications to the specifications and/or plans of the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, that the proposed modifications and/or alterations to the contract between the City of Bozeman, a
municipal corporation, and JTL Group, Inc., as contained in Change Order No. 4, attached hereto, be and the
same are hereby approved; and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract
change order for and on behalf of the City; and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to attest such
signature.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 29`" day of September 2008.

shaping and seeding as described in your work directive.
This pricing includes:
• Mobilize men and equipment to jab site.
• Excavate.and widen drainage Swale to improve drainage.-
. • Seed drainage Swale with specified grass seed.
• Perform minor grading on existing driveway to improve drainage towards Swale.

SUBJECT: Durston Road 7`h to 19"' Project
MEETING DATE: 10/6/2008
RECOMMENDATION: Motion and vote to approve and authorize City Manager to sign the change order.
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy, of change order number 4 for the above referenced project. The change order
is to correct a drainage problem which was created by the project on one of the properties along
the corridor. More specifically, it is to install a drainage swale to drain water which has been
ponding in the driveway as a result of the construction.
The change order increases the contract price by $700.00 and the contract time by 0 days. The
final recommended increase in cost and time extension for this change is reasonable and
commensurate with the work involved.
FISCAL EFFECTS: None
ALTERNATIVES: Disapprove
