BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy, of the Notice of Award for the above referenced project. This project includes rehabilitation of 66401ineal feet of 8", 10", and 12" sewer mains using Cast in place pipe (CIPP) trenchless technology. This project was bid in three different alternates two of which included the Lincoln main that was the subject of a recent impact fee request before the commission. This award is for schedule~A only which did not include that main due to the high bid prices for that item. We are pursuing other avenues to complete that work. Bids for the above-referenced project were opened on September 29, 2008 with only 1 bid being submitted. The low bid was submitted by Planned and Engineered Construction, Inc in the amount of $440,790.00. The Bid Tabulation for the project is attached. The project is currently funded in the wastewater fund in the current fiscal year at $750,000.00. FISCAL EFFECTS: Currently budgeted in the wastewater fund. You are the Successful Bidder and are awarded a Contract for the City of Bozeman 2008 Sewer Rehabilitation Project - Schedule A. The Contract Price of your Contract is Four Hundred Fortv Thousand Seven Hundred Ninetv Dollars ($440.7901 6 copies of each of the proposed Contract Documents (including Drawings) accompany this Notice of Award. You must comply with the following conditions precedent within 15 days of the date you receive this Notice of Award. 1. Deliver to the Owner 6 fully executed counterparts of the Contract Documents. 2. Deliver with the executed Contract Documents the Contract security bonds as specified in the Instructions to Bidders (Article 20) and General Conditions (Paragraph 5.01). 3. Other conditions precedent: Insurance (Fire. Public Liability & Property Damaee. All Risk Builders) in accordance with MPW Supplementary Conditions to the General Conditions SC 5.02 - SC 5.06 Workers Compensation Insurance Coverage Failure to comply with these conditions within the time specified will entitle Owner to consider you in default, annul this Notice of Award and declare your Bid security forfeited. Within ten days after you comply with the above conditions, Owner will return to you one fully executed counterpart of the Contract Documents.
