Carollo Engineers performed design, and on-site inspection for the City of Lake Forest Illinois, Water Treatment Plant -Membrane Rehabilitation Project. Joseph J. Henderson & Son, Inc. performed the $20 million construction of the new membrane filtration facilities. The project also included replacing the existing 1950's high service pumping facility with new high service facilities having a design capacity of 14 million gallons per day including, repair and reconstruction of existing improvements affected by the work, and incidentals for a complete and usable facility. The overall project was completed after 26 months of construction, on-time and under the City's budget with Change Orders -including owner-requested additions to the Scope -averaging less than 1 percent of the initial bid amount.
