A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, CREATING A SPECIAL IMPKOVEMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN
AS SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 646 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTAllATION OF A SANITARY SEWER AND WATER
MAIN AND APPURTENANCES TO SERVE THE ADJOINING PROPERTIES AND
MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: AN EIGHT (8) INCH WATER
MAIN AND APPURTENANCES AND AN EIGHT (8) INCH SANITARY SEWER AND
APPURTENANCES, TO SERVE PARTICULAR LOTS WI I HIN THE GORDON MAN-
DEVILLE STATE SCHOOL SECTION SUBDIVISION.
THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF THE SANITARY SEWER AND
WATER MAIN SHALL INCLUDE ALL TRENCH EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL,
BEuDING MATERIAL, SANITARY SEWER LINES, DUCTILE IRON WATER
MAIN, MANHOLES, VALVES, FITTINGS, HYDRANTS, SERVICE LINE STUBS
AND OTHER NECESSARY APPURTENANCES.
WHEREAS, at a regular session of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
held on the 25th day of June, 1984, the said City Commission duly passed Commission Resolu-
tion No. 2499, declaring it to be the intention of the said City Commission to create a special
improvement district to be known and designated as Special Improvement District No. 646 to
the said City, for the purpose of constructing and installing sanitary sewers and water mains
and appurtenances to provide service to all lots within the district located within a portion
of the liordon Mandeville State School Section SubdivIsion. Said construction and installation
to include all trench excavation and backfill, bedding material, sanitary sewer lines, ductIle
iron water main, manholes, valves, fittings, hydrants, service line stubs and other necessary
appurtenances thereto. The said Commission Resolution No. 2499 is hereby referred to and
made a part hereof for further particulars in respect to the boundaries of said Special Im-

provement District No. 646, and the estimated cost of said improvements and methods ot assess-
ing the same against the property of said district; and
WHEREAS, notice of the passage of saId Commission Resolution No. 2499 was duly publlsh-
ed, as required by law, in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a daily newspaper of general circula-
tion printed and publ ished in the City of Bozeman, Montana, and by sending a copy of such
notice by U. S. mail to each person, firm or corporation having property within the proposed
district at his or its last known address, upon the same date that such notice was first
published as aforesaid, and due proof having been made of the publication and service of
said notices; and
WHEREAS, within the time provided by law and said published and served notice, there
was not sufficient protest against the creation of said proposed Special I mprovement District
No. 646. The City Commission was in regular session on the 18th day of June 1984, at 7: 00
o'clock p.m., of said day, at the Commission Chamber in the City Hall Building in the said
City of Bozeman, Montana, and the same being the time and place designated in said notice
for passing upon all protests, it any I against the proposed work or against the creation or
extension of said district, or both or either. And, it further appearing that all of the

proceedings for the creation ot said district have been lawful and regular;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN , MONTANA:

Section One
That the said Special Improvement District No. 646 of the City of Bozeman, be, and
the same is hereby created for the purpose of making improvements as in said Commission
Resolution No. 2499 and hereinafter described.
Section Two

That said special improvements be, and the same are, hereby ordered to be made in
Special Improvement District No. 646 as follows:

IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 646 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION
AND INSTALLATION OF A SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN AND APPURTE-
NANCES TO SERVE THE ADJOINING PROPERTIES AND MORE SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: AN EIGHT (8) INCH WATER MAIN AND APPURTE-
NANCES AND AN EIGHT (8) INCH SANITARY SEWER AND APPURTENANCES.
THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTAllATION OF THE SEWER AND WATER MAIN
SHALL INCLUDE ALL TRENCH EXCAVATION AND BACKFilL, BEDDING MATERIAL,
SANITARY SEWER LINES, DUCTILE IRON WATER MAIN, MANHOLES, VALVES,
FITTINGS, HYDRANTS, SERVICE LINE STUBS AND OTHER NECESSARY AP-
PURTENANCES.
Section Three
That the entire cost and expense of maintaining the improvements herein referred to in said
Special Improvement District No. 646, shall be assessed against the entire district. Each
lot, block, tract or parcel of land within the district will be assessed for that portion of the
whole cost whicn its area bears to the area of the entire district exclusive of streets, avenues,

and public places. The total number of feet of assessable footage within the district is
868,613.88 square feet, which is the area on which all assessments will be calculated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular
session held thereof on the 2nd day of July 1984.

Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said
City in the issue dated the day of 1984, and due proof ot such
publication is on file in my office.
