COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2457
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN TO SELL CERTAIN SURPLUS ITEMS FROM THE POLICE DIVI-
SION TO A COUNTY OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE
STATE OF MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the Police Division of the City of Bozeman has a cooperative agree-
ment with Gallatin County for the housing of prisoners in the Gallatin County Detention
Center; and
WHEREAS, the Police Division of the City of Bozeman no longer has a need for the
television monitoring system, and the same is hereby declared surplus; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-8-101 (2). Montana Code Annotated, grants the City of Bozeman
the power to dispose of any property, which is not necessary for the conduct of the City
business, to any county or political subdivision, without an ordinance, public notice, publi-
cation, bids or appraisal.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana:
Section 1
That it is hereby declared to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman to sell
the television monitoring system located in the Police Division to a county or other political
subdivision within the State of Montana.
Section 2
That pursuant to Section 7-8-101, M.C.A., the Clerk of the City Commission shall
cause notice to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, at least once a week for three
(3) successive weeks, which notice shall be to the effect that such Resolution has been duly
and legally passed and further expressing the City's intent to dispose of the items listed in
Section 1, in the manner described herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session thereof held on the 13th day of June

NOTICE
The City of Bozeman, having passed Resolution No. 2457 and pursuant to the provi-
sions of Section 7-8-101, Montana Code Annotated, 1979, hereby serves notice of its intent
to sell the television monitoring system located in the Police Division to a county or other
political subdivision within the State of Montana.
