A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN TO INCLUDE A TRACT OF LAND
CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN AND HEREIN
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS there has been presented to the City Commission of the
City of Bozeman a written request signed by more than fifty percent
(50%) of the resident freeholder electors of the tract described below
petitioning the said City Commission to extend the boundaries of the City
of Bozeman so as to include a certain contiguous tract of land within the
boundaries of the City of Bozeman and having presented to the City of
Bozeman proposed plats and certificate of survey of said land; and
WHEREAS, the proper legal description of said contiguous tract
located in the County of Gallatin, State of Montana, is as follows:
A tract of land located in the East 1/2 Southeast 1/4, Section
18, Township 2 South, Range 6 East, Principal Meridian
Montana, City of Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana, and being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the East 1/4 corner of said Section 18; thence
South 12056'1211 Wp.st, a distance of 296.88 feet, to the true
point of bp.ginning; thence South 00001'0011 East, along the
westerly right-of~way of Highland Boulevard, a distance of
436.45 feet to the northerly right-of-way of O'Connell Drive;
the following ten traverse steps are along the northerly
boundary of Graf's First Subdivision; thence South 89059'0011
West, a distance of 270.00 feet; thence South 00014'00" East, a
distance of 90.00 feet; thence South 04025'00" West, a distance
of 62.00 feet; thence South 28022'0011 West, a distance of 66.60
feet; thence South 48044'00" West, a distance of 50.00 feet;
thence South 61031'20" West, a distance of 285.00 feet; thence
North 52028'0011 West, a distance of 154.00 feet; thence North
47059'20" West, a distance of 274.80 feet; thence North
31006'2011 West, a distance of 37.20 feet; thence South 72023'4011
West, a distance of 329.31 feet, to a point on the North-South
1/16th line of said Southeast 1/4, thence North 00010'2311 West,
along said North-South 1/16th line, a distance of 595.61 feet;
thence North 89032'0011 East, a distance of 1255.27 feet, to the
true point of beginning, and containing 17.2954 acres
WHEREAS, it will be for the best interest of the City of Bozeman
and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tract
hereinbefore described to extend the boundaries of the City of Bozeman
so as to include the said contiguous tract hereinbefore described within
the corporate limits of the said City of Bozeman.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN:
That pursuant to the provisions of Title 7, Chapter 2, Part 46,
Montana Code Annotated (1981), it is hereby declared that the boundaries
of the City of Bozeman be extended so as to include the contiguous tract
hereinbefore described within the boundaries and corporate limits of the
City of Bozeman, Montana.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Commission of the City
of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session held on the 24th
day of
January
, 1983. This Resolution shall become effective
thirty (30) days after such date.
