COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2363
A KESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION
OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN TO SELL CERTAIN SURPLUS ITEMS FRO~1 THE OLD PUBLIC
LIBRARY TO A COUNTY OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE STATE OF
MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has purchased new equipment, shelving, furniture, etc.,
for the new public library; and
WHEREAS, certain equipment, furniture, shelving, etc., in the old public library is no
longer an asset and is not beneficial to the operation of the Public Welfare Division; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-8-101(2), Montana Code Annotated 1979, grants the City of Bozeman the
power to dispose of any property, which is not necessary for the conduct of the City business, to any
county or political subdivision, without an ordinance, public notice, publication, bids or appraisal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA:
Section 1
THAT IT IS HEREBY DECLARED to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman to sell the
following surplus items to a county or other political subdivision within the State of Montana.
1. One nine-drawer oak card file
2. One oak magazine rack
3. One oak book truck
4. One oak bookcase (double faced, adjustable shelves, approximately 12 feet long and
2 feet deep)
5. One wire paperback book rack
6. Two printed bookshelves approximately 219" tall (one approximately 111 long and one
approximately 719" long)
7. One dozen folding chairs (child size)
8. Approximately 45 bookends
9. Approximately 24 shelf markers
Section 2
That pursuant to Section 7-8-101, M.C.A. 1979, the Clerk of the City Commission shall cause
notice to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, at least once a week for three (3) successive
weeks which notice shall be to the effect that such resolution has been duly and legally passed and
further expressing the City's intent to dispose of the items listed in Section 1, in the manner
described herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular
session thereof held on the 18th day of November 1981.

I, Robin L. Sullivan, Clerk of the Commission of the City of Bozeman,do hereby certify
that the foregoing Resolution No. 2363 was published by title and number in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle
a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City, in the issue dated the 24th day
of November 1981, and due proof of such publication is on file in my office.
