OLD BUSINESS
Bike Route / CTEP Update
100 locates have been done and signs are going up quickly. Board
members who see mistakes in the signage should make notes and forward them
to David. Caution signs will be going up on the east-west routes in the
northwest sections of town. Concrete pads are complete and the bike racks are
going in.
The route map project is proceeding. The expected cost will be $12,000
which includes $7000 for development and $5000 for printing.
The question was asked if the current CTEP project should be amended to
include the additional cost of the map project. The Board decided against the
idea, suggesting a new proposal would be better if needed.
NEW BUSINESS
• The third week in May is National Bike to Work and School week
(http://www.bikemonth.com). We discussed the timing of the week and
how the Board could ‘launch’ the new bike route and route map during
that week.
• ‘Bike Art’ will be featured on the Centennial Mall at MSU on October 14.
Members interested in helping David create an item of bike art should
meet at his house Saturday morning the 9th.
• The next scheduled meeting is for November 2. Since this is Election Day,
the meeting will be postponed until the 9th. Matt will be gone that day so
Cort will fill in as secretary.
