FIRM EXPERIENCE
Introduction
Montana Concrete Polishing (MCP) has provided commercial and industrial concrete
services throughout Montana since 2008. MCP specializes in concrete repair and
restoration, surface preparation, polished concrete, resinous fiooring and coatings,
waterprooflng and traffic coatings, joint repair and sealants, and other specialty concrete
services. Our experience ranges from smaller maintenance and repair needs, such as
correcting sidewalk trip hazards, patching damaged concrete, sealing joints and cracks,
and restoring existing concrete surfaces, to larger commercial and public construction
projects requiring extensive surface preparation, repair, polishing, or protective coating
systems.
MCP regularly works directly with facility owners and public entities as well as general
contractors and has extensive experience performing work within the requirements of
publicly procured construction. The following projects represent a selection of MCP's
recent work that demonstrates our experience with the types of concrete maintenance,
repair, restoration, and improvement projects that may arise under the City's qualifled
contractor program.
Relevant Project Experience
1. GALLATIN COUNTY COURTS BUILDING
Bozeman, Montana | 2024
Client: Martel Construction / Gallatin County
Contact: Travis Kabalin
Phone: (406) 599-3155
Scope: Concrete fioor polishing, joint fllling, and resinous fioor coatings
MCP completed the specialty concrete fiooring scope for the new Gallatin County Courts
Building in Bozeman. Work included installation of a full aggregate exposure polished
concrete fioor system along with a polyaspartic coating system in the holding areas. The
project demonstrates MCP's ability to provide multiple specialty concrete fiooring systems
within a public facility while coordinating with the general contractor, other trades, and the
requirements of a commercial construction schedule.

2. GALLATIN COUNTY MORGUE AND EVIDENCE BAY
Bozeman, Montana | 2026
Client: Haselden / Gallatin County
Contact: Levi Prevost
Phone: (406) 333-8823
Scope: Concrete surface preparation and resinous fioor coatings
MCP completed the resinous fiooring scope for the Gallatin County Morgue in Bozeman.
Work included mechanical surface preparation and installation of a seamless resinous
fioor coating system throughout designated areas of the facility. The completed system
provides Gallatin County with a durable, chemically resistant, and easily cleanable fioor
surface appropriate for the sanitary requirements of a morgue facility.
3. LAST CHANCE GULCH PARKING STRUCTURE RETROFIT
Helena, Montana | 2026
Client: Sletten Construction / State of Montana
Contact: Colt Castlebury
Phone: (406) 836-0104
Scope: Concrete surface preparation, epoxy moisture vapor control, joint sealants,
detailing, and polyurethane waterproof traffic coatings
MCP completed the traffic coating scope on a new post-tensioned concrete parking
structure in downtown Helena. Elevated moisture levels within the new concrete required
installation of a moisture mitigation system prior to application of an extra-heavy-duty Sika
polyurethane traffic coating system. MCP's work also included caulking of concrete joints,
vertical coating applications, and extensive detailing at transitions, penetrations, edges,
and other structural features.
The project required careful coordination of work in a busy downtown environment while
managing weather-dependent installation requirements and critical project deadlines.
MCP successfully completed the system within these constraints, providing a waterproof,
traffic-bearing surface designed to protect the new concrete deck from vehicle traffic,
moisture, and deicing chemicals.

4. DOYLES SHEEHAN
Missoula, Montana | 2018 – 2026
Client: Doyles Sheehan Missoula & Coeur d’Alene
Contact: Pat Coulter
Phone: (406) 543-5100 ext. 8212
Scope: Industrial concrete repair, grinding, scarifying and milling, trip-hazard
correction, crack and joint repair, epoxy mortar repairs, densiflcation, and
concrete sealing
MCP has provided ongoing concrete repair and maintenance services at the Doyles
Sheehan distribution facility in Missoula for several years. Work has included concrete
grinding, scarifying, and milling to correct height variations; scarifying of exterior concrete
to eliminate pedestrian trip hazards; major crack and joint repairs; epoxy mortar surface
repairs; joint caulking; and chemical densiflcation and sealing of existing concrete
surfaces.
The facility remains operational during this work, requiring MCP to coordinate repairs
around active warehouse operations and heavy forklift traffic. Repairs improve fioor
continuity and safety, reduce impacts to forklift tires and equipment, improve cleaning and
maintenance, and protect the concrete from continued deterioration. Many repairs
completed by MCP years ago remain in service today, and Doyles Sheehan continues to
rely on MCP as new concrete maintenance and repair needs arise. This ongoing
relationship allows the owner to address concrete problems as they develop, extend the
useful life of its facility, and minimize disruption to its distribution operations.
5. BOZEMAN HOT SPRINGS
Bozeman, Montana | 2026
Client: Langlas & Associates / Bozeman Hot Springs
Contact: Andy Barham
Phone: (406) 586-6492
Scope: Moisture mitigation, epoxy mortar sloping and substrate correction, concrete
surface preparation, and decorative quartz resinous fiooring
MCP completed specialty fiooring improvements within the shower areas at Bozeman Hot
Springs following removal of the existing shower pans and installation of new trench drains.
After preparing the substrate and installing a moisture vapor control primer, MCP used
epoxy mortar to rebuild the shower fioors by hand, establishing new slopes and transitions
6
to properly direct water to the shower and trench drains. The work required careful
integration with existing tile and other flnishes that remained in place.
Because the work occurred during a planned facility shutdown, MCP coordinated closely
with Langlas & Associates to complete the installation within the limited construction
window and minimize the impact to facility operations. The completed decorative quartz
resinous fiooring system provides Bozeman Hot Springs with a seamless, durable, and
easily cleanable surface while maintaining proper drainage throughout the renovated
shower areas.
6. PROVIDENCE ST. PATRICK HOSPITAL
Missoula, Montana | 2018 – 2026
Client: Providence St. Patrick Hospital
Contact: Tim Chopp
Phone: (406) 542-9150
Scope: Concrete surface preparation, grinding and leveling, protective coating
systems, and miscellaneous concrete repairs
MCP has completed numerous concrete fiooring, coating, and maintenance projects at
Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula over the years. Work has included installation
of a protective coating system at the hospital helipad, a coating system within the
ambulance bay, and miscellaneous concrete grinding and leveling to correct existing
surface conditions throughout the facility.
The ongoing relationship requires MCP to coordinate work around the needs of an active
healthcare campus where access, scheduling, safety, and minimizing disruption to facility
operations are critical. MCP's ability to address both planned improvements and
miscellaneous concrete maintenance needs has allowed Providence to utilize MCP for a
variety of specialty concrete projects as needs arise.
CITY OF BOZEMAN EXPERIENCE
MCP has not performed work directly for the City of Bozeman to date. MCP has, however,
completed numerous projects throughout Bozeman and Gallatin County, including work
for Gallatin County and other commercial and institutional clients. MCP also has
experience working directly with municipal owners, including resinous fiooring work for the
City of Missoula Parks and Recreation Department.

MCP PERSONNEL
MCP hires, trains, and retains its own in-house personnel to perform its specialty concrete
services. Our crews are experienced in concrete grinding, repair, polishing, resinous
fiooring, waterprooflng, caulking, coating installations, and related specialty concrete
services. MCP does not rely on seasonal hiring and layoffs to staff its work. Several fleld
employees have been with MCP for more than flve years and continue to receive hands-on
training as the company adds new equipment, products, and installation methods.
City projects will be supported by MCP’s existing management and fleld personnel, with
crews assigned based on the speciflc needs of each project. When a project includes work
outside of MCP’s specialty services, MCP also has the experience and contractor
relationships necessary to coordinate and subcontract additional work as needed.

FIRM BACKGROUND
MCP was established in 2008 and is a Montana-based specialty concrete contractor
serving commercial, industrial, institutional, and public clients throughout the state. MCP
operates from locations in Missoula and Belgrade and works directly with owners and
facility managers as well as general contractors.
MCP specializes in concrete repair and restoration, surface preparation, polished concrete,
resinous fiooring and coatings, waterprooflng and traffic coatings, joint repair and sealants,
moisture mitigation, concrete leveling, and related specialty concrete services. MCP’s
President also brings approximately 30 years of general contracting experience prior to
founding MCP, providing the company with a strong understanding of construction
scheduling, coordination, budgeting, and working alongside other trades.
MCP owns and maintains industry-leading equipment for its specialty concrete work,
including high-production grinding and polishing equipment, scariflers, milling and planing
equipment, dust collection systems, crack and joint preparation equipment, mixing and
pumping equipment, and specialized tools for resinous coating installations. MCP’s larger
grinding equipment is remote operated, allowing multiple operators to produce consistent
results across large areas while improving production and efficiency. High-production
equipment and integrated dust control allow MCP to reduce work durations, limit
disruption, and work efficiently within active facilities.
MCP’s strength is its specialization and experience with concrete surfaces, supported by
established relationships with material manufacturers, suppliers, general contractors, and
repeat clients. As a specialty contractor, MCP does not attempt to self-perform trades
outside of its expertise and coordinates with the Owner, general contractor, or other
qualifled trades when work extends beyond MCP’s capabilities.
MCP maintains an annual business volume of approximately $2–5 million and is flnancially
stable and bondable. Bid, performance, and payment bonds can be obtained on a project-
speciflc basis when required. MCP does not anticipate any flnancial or bonding limitations
associated with work performed under this contract.
9
FIRM WORKLOAD
MCP maintains multiple fleld crews operating from its Missoula and Belgrade locations and
has the personnel, equipment, and resources necessary to support its current workload
while taking on additional projects. The Belgrade location provides a local base of
operations for Bozeman-area work and allows MCP to respond efficiently as maintenance,
repair, and improvement needs arise.
MCP understands that the purpose of this contract is to provide the City with qualifled
contractors that can respond when work is needed. For reasonably deflned scopes, MCP
will generally provide requested pricing within three business days and is prepared to target
mobilization within 14 calendar days following authorization to proceed. Mobilization is
subject to material availability, site readiness, weather and environmental conditions, and
coordination with the City. When conditions allow, MCP will make every effort to
accommodate more urgent requests.
MCP is interested in supporting the City with projects of varying size and complexity,
including smaller maintenance and repair needs. We understand that a small repair can
still be important to the operation, safety, or maintenance of a City facility and intend to
provide the same level of responsiveness and communication to these requests as we do
to larger projects.
City requests will be coordinated through a designated MCP point of contact who will be
responsible for receiving requests, coordinating site visits and pricing, and communicating
scheduling and project requirements with MCP's operations team. MCP manages
schedules and budgets through early coordination, clear deflnition of scope, realistic
scheduling, and direct communication. Material lead times, access requirements, cure
times, environmental conditions, and other factors that could affect cost or schedule will
be identifled as early as possible so the City has good information before work begins.
CLAIMS
MCP has never been assessed or paid liquidated damages on a project with a public owner
or any other client during the company's history.
