Dear Ms. Canter and the Selection Committee,
On behalf of Garrett Parks and Play, I am pleased to submit our Statement of Qualifications
in response to the City of Bozeman’s RFQ. Our firm specializes in the design and
installation of commercial recreation spaces, and we are eager to support the City in

For the past 40 years, our team has successfully executed projects involving civil

shelters, shade structures, and site furnishings. We understand that the City requires
trusted partners to supplement internal capabilities for projects up to $79,999. We are fully
equipped with the professional personnel, supply chain relationships, and capacity to
deliver on-time and on-budget solutions at prenegotiated rates.
In accordance with the RFQ requirements, please note the following:
• We have included our completed Nondiscrimination and Equal Pay Affirmation.
• We formally disclose that we do not intend to utilize Generative Artificial Intelligence
(AI) in the fulfillment of services if awarded a contract.
• Our firm has not been assessed and paid liquidated damages after completion of a
project under a contract with a public owner in the last ten (10) years.
Thank you for the opportunity to present our qualifications. We look forward to the
possibility of establishing a standing term contract with the City of Bozeman and are
available for an interview at your convenience.

Walker Creek Park - Current Project
Status
The site has been graded, and installation of the post-tensioned sports court and surrounding flatwork is underway.
Shade structures are scheduled to arrive in mid-September, and the playground is expected to arrive in October.
Installation is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.
Adherence to project schedule and budget
The City has requested that the project be completed by the end of 2026. We anticipate completion well ahead of this
deadline. The total project value remains within the established budget requirements.
Maintained relationships
Following the bid award, communication channels were established, and several pre-construction meetings
were scheduled and completed. During these meetings, key elements of the project were refined and
finalized, including the playground design and layout, shade design and layout, flatwork positioning, grade

Status
Playground grading and border installation have been completed. The playground equipment and PIP rubber surfacing materials are currently in transit. The project is in the installation pipeline, with completion anticipated by September 30, 2026.
Adherence to project schedule and budget
The owner has requested that the project be completed as soon as possible. While no specific deadline was provided, we are sensitive to the impact of construction while school is in session. The project has therefore been prioritized to minimize disruption to the school year.
Maintained relationships
Weekly coordination calls between Garrett Parks + Play, the general contractor, and the school district help keep all parties aligned. Any changes affecting shipping or installation schedules are communicated promptly and coordinated among the project team.

Community Pond Park- Current Project
StatusSubmittals have been approved, and the structures are currently in the construction drawing phase. The City is completing the required site work in preparation for installation. The structures are anticipated to arrive within approximately three months.
Adherence to project schedule and budget
Our proposal provided significant cost savings compared with the City’s projected project cost. The overall project
timeline is primarily dependent on the manufacturing and delivery schedule for the structures. These lead times were clearly communicated to the City at the outset of the project and continue to be monitored.
Maintained relationshipsRegular coordination calls with the City have been held to confirm timelines, design decisions, and site requirements. Several details regarding the restroom structure have been reviewed to ensure alignment prior to construction. Ongoing coordination with the City is particularly important to ensure utilities are properly located and installed before restroom construction begins.

customization, and installation.
Issues
The project involved multiple suppliers and teams. During installation, several missing parts had to be

Missing parts were quickly identified and fast-tracked. Strong organization and regular communication kept all
suppliers, installers, and the general contractor aligned.
Outcome
The playground was completed on schedule with minimal delays. Proactive coordination and communication
helped the project run smoothly from design through installation.

Centerville Community Park
Objective
The City of Centerville wanted to update the playground at their flagship park to keep up with
growing community around it.
Solution
Garrett Parks and Play helped the city understand the needs of their community, which resulted in
a larger playground with unitary safety surfacing rather than sand, which posed large potential
issues due to the high water table in the area.
Benefits
The City of Centerville was very pleased with our communication and expertise while discussing
options to create a safe and practical play space for the community.

ground level elements that welcome all visitors to this park with enough left over for a basketball
court.
