Dear Bozeman City Commissioners:
Re: the Oct 6, City Commission Meeting: I am writing to request that you move Consent Item
F.31 to the Action Item Agenda because acceptance of this $80,000 grant implies that the City
of Bozeman will be required to work with ICE and Federal Border Patrol (as follows): Article 60
- State Homeland Security Program: Compliance with Federal Immigration Law.
The very last thing the City of Bozeman needs to do is to work with ICE and the Federal Border
Patrol in any way (i.e., voluntarily or involuntarily). Hence, I am asking the Commission to vote
to refuse this grant on ethical grounds.
