Dear City Commissioner,
As a long time Bozeman resident with 3 small children, I can confidently tell you that a new
and improved outdoor aquatics center would vastly improve the quality of life for so manyBozeman residents. While adequate, Bogert Pool is far from the high quality and exciting pool
center that the families of Bozeman should be enjoying.
I grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. A city of far lesser resources and with a demographic that is farless economically privileged. I grew up however with an outdoor pool center that included a 3
story water slide, multiple pools, and a pool compound that included lots of grassy spacewhere families could spread out and picnic while they swam.
In the summer, Montana residents want to be outside. While yes, there are rivers and lakes
nearby, not every family has the resources and privilege to travel to those locations and theamenities of a high quality city pool facility would allow all Bozeman residents to enjoy
summer and recreate as families and children do all over the United States.
Please consider this request to invest resources in building a better pool and aquatic center;akin to what Butte, Missoula, and Pocatello all have. The residents of Bozeman deserve this.
