Dear Members of the Bozeman City Commission,
On behalf of the Bozeman Barracudas Swim Club, I want to emphasize the importance of
competitive swimming to our community. Our mission is not only to develop betterswimmers, but to help young people become better human beings through discipline,
perseverance, teamwork, accountability, and resilience.
Our program provides children with a place to grow, build confidence, form lastingfriendships, and learn lessons that extend far beyond the pool.
The demand for swimming in Bozeman is strong. Each year, we are forced to turn children
away simply because we do not have enough pool lanes and water time. We would love toserve more families and give more young people the opportunity to benefit from this sport.
We respectfully ask that the City continue to recognize the importance of aquatic facilities and
consider opportunities to expand pool capacity in our community. We are eager to be a partnerin finding solutions.
