Greetings City of Bozeman,
I know that you are aware that the bears have been hanging out in town and tipping over cans
and feasting. This morning I counted 8 cans of trash dumped and pulled apart on N Montana.This has become a danger to the bears as we all know what happens to a fed bear. We need to
mandate bear canisters/ secured cans/ no cans in the street except for daylight hours on trashdays to protect our fragile bear population. I have subscribed to a bear bin and am willing to
pay the fees to protect our bears, but we are the only one I have seen on our street. The trashmakes its way to our yard as we have a creek access point. It is unsanitary for us to clean up,
and quite disgusting. I would appreciate the city taking immediate action to address the trashproblems so that we don’t lose our bears.
