Tough decisions to be made for commissioners with budgets being tight and all but after attending a number of meetings about the Guthrie Project where public input was strongly against the project, it was pretty clear to me that the city commission really could care less about what the citizens of Bozeman think. So asking for comments is rather ridiculous if that is the case. Both of you went on to the commission touting affordable housing and looking out for community interests, yet when the people expressed concerns about the size of the Guthrie, the parking issues of the Guthrie, and the impact the Guthrie would have on the neighborhood, you ignored the public comments and sided with the developer. Affordable housing was not what it presented and all the other issues made it even less attractive. Your change of position smacked of something fishy, so why would people make comments when the commission doesn’t really seem to care about what the citizens think? Sincerely, Scott Mayer
