Sub-Option 2
Method of Electing City Commissioners
FOR Existing System: Elect Commissioners At-Large
City commissioners shall continue to be elected at-large, where commissioners can liveanywhere within the incorporated city limits of Bozeman.
FOR Electing Commissioners by WardsThe city shall be divided into wards. City commissioners shall be elected by ward, and each
candidate must reside within the ward from which they are elected.
Sub-Option 3
This sub-option applies only if the ward system is approved and the amended charter isadopted.
Who Elects Each Ward's Commissioner
FOR Elected by All City Voters
Commission members must reside in the ward their office represents, but shall be elected forfour-year terms by voters citywide.
FOR Elected Only by That Ward's VotersCommission members must reside in the ward their office represents, and shall be elected for
four-year terms only by voters residing within that same ward.
