As ahomeowner in Harvest Creek, one of the reasons we purchased our home was the Cattail Creek Linear trail through our neighborhood. Our realtor even made it ahuge selling point- and it is. It is a safe and lovely area to recreate and I use it daily. It is a huge part of our community. I am totally against the proposed plan.Harvest Creek seems to be getting hit from all sides with the city and the over 500 taxpayers associated with our neighborhood feel their voices are ignored as thecity pushes to cram multi-storied “affordable” housing in the backyards of our neighbors, blocking views, sunlight, and adding increased noise pollution, traffic, and lack of privacy, to now destroying one of the most beautiful and beloved recreating trails in Bozeman, which is used heavily by the Harvest Creekcommunity. Currently, dog walkers can safely move their dogs off the path to accommodate walkers with other dogs to avoid conflict with dogs and humans. Dogs do not do their potty business on the trail, as dog walkers can quickly walk them over to the grass to potty. The area does not encourage ticks or rodentscurrently. Visibility is excellent on the trail, which is an important concern for safety andbeing aware of your surroundings. There are so many ways the city should be prioritizing savings. Ruiningsomething that is actually so good for the city and our community is not one of them.Thank you. Heather VaillancourtHomeowner: Harvest Creek Sent from my iPhone
