Recently stayed in Bozeman for 8 days with my wife. Our first trip to Montana. Overall we had a very good time and
a favorable impression. We had a rental car and needed it to get to downtown restaurants from our hotel. After
returning home, we got a bill from the car rental company for approximately $45 with itemized penalties for
overstaying our 2 hour downtown visit by approximately 15 minutes. We waited one hour before being seated at
the restaurant and shopped downtown while we waited. I thought the parking charge was excessive and
unreasonable and I tried to resolve it through the channels provided. Almost impossible to do, lots of time on hold,
frustrating and very annoying. I'm sure a charge will show up on my credit card bill. I'm equally sure I won't pay it.
The result is I have a bad impression of Bozeman and likely won't return. I'll leave it to you to figure out a better
system than a financial penalty against paying patrons of your downtown businesses. Thanks.
