Hi there,
I am a resident of the Cattail Creek area (living on Sundew Ln) and I just wanted to provide a
few comments on the park master plan. Overall, I absolutely love the plan and the fact that itwill provide connection to the paths south of us. As a runner, having this area cut off from the
rest of town is very difficult for me and this, along with the completion of the 27th Stexpansion, will be wonderful.
The one part of the plan I don't like is the proposal of the "sports and athletic node" along
Blackbird Dr. I have two young children and we really enjoy having that expanse of greenspace to play soccer or frisbee on. There are already courts just a couple blocks to the south
that provide a place for people to play basketball (and tennis soon, according to the plan). AndI think getting rid of the last swath of empty green space in this corridor would be a mistake
for those who enjoy sports that are hindered by courts. I am in favor of berms to help enclosethe space.
