Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. I am a member of the Board and resident of Cattail Creek Owners Association. I have reviewed the Master plan that has to do with our parks. I am mostly concerned with the construction of the court planned for the park on Blackbird. What kind of parking will you be putting in to handle the increase in Bozeman residents coming to play at that park? Have you looked at the parking anywhere? There are already courts at the other end of the neighborhood that could be used for more activity and that area has the parking necessary. The parking in Bozeman is another issue entirely, but this is one of the examples where it is not considered. In addition, I moved into a neighborhood with a creek that ran through the park system. That creek has filled in without maintenance since the City took over. It makes for more bugs and has created less habitat for the animals that used to frequent the area. There used to be cranes and marmots. Neither are here any longer as the water areas have dried up. Our association is prepared to help out to keep the area in good condition, but the City does not contact us at all. Not even when we have offered and have money to do something with the parks that is in line with what we would like to see as a neighborhood. I firmly disagree with the plan for the Cattail HOA portion of the Master Plan and would like to ask that we revisit that area and make improvements that will benefit all of Bozeman without eliminating the natural area.
