COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2834 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, ESTABLISHING RATES FOR SEWER RENTAL CHARGES FOR THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, following notice and public hearing, established a new Rate Schedule for the City of Bozeman's Sewer Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONT ANA, that the new rates for sewer rental ser- vice shall become effective for that billing period which will first appear on the July 1, 1991 billing, as follows, to-wit: Section 1 Metered Customers Effective on the July 1, 1991 billing A. MONTHLY BILLING AND CUSTOMER CHARGES Customer Class Monthly charge - All metered customers $ 3.92 per customer per month B. ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR METERED CUSTOMERS Customer Class Residential $ O.GS/ccf based on average winter water usage Commercial, I ndustrial and $ O.GS/cd based on metered water MSU usage C. CHARGE FOR EXTRA STRENGTH WASTE Suspended Solids in excess of 200/ ppm $ 0.138/pound Biochemical Oxygen Demand in excess of 250/ ppm $ 0.114/pound Explanatory note: Each customer shall pay a minimum monthly bill which in- cludes the monthly charge (a) plus an additional charge (B). For extra strength waste, a customer shall pay the extra charge (C). Section 2 Unmetered Customers Effective on the July 1, 1991 billing Customer Class All unmetered customers $ 9. 18 per month ----.-----.--.-... ..-- :'" . Section 3 Billing Procedures Charges for sewer rental under this schedule shall be made a part of the current monthly water bill, to be shown by separate item on such bill. Accep- tance will not be made of separate payment of either the charge for the water or the charge for sewer rental. Both charges must be paid at the same time; partial payments wi II be prorated between water and sewer. Charges for water used and for sewer rentals become due and payble on the first day of each month. If any bill is not paid on or before the fifteenth day of that month, it will then become delinquent; and if not paid in full by the fifteenth of the following mon th , water service to the premises involved may be discontinued. A charge of fifteen dollars ($15.00) during regular busi- ness hours or thirty-five dollars ($35.00) during non-business hours shall be made for reinstating a water service which has been discontinued for non- payment of water and sewer renta I cha rges. Section 4 Protests In cases where sewer rentals under this schedule are claimed to be unfai r, unreasonable or not in proportion to charges made to other sewe r users, the person or persons against whom such charges are made may apply to the City Manager for an adjustment, stating the circumstances, and the City Manager may make such adjustment of such sewer rental rate as is deemed necessary, fair and equitable.
