4.A Well -Planned City
We consistently improve our community’s
quality of life as it grows and changes,
honoring our sense of place and the
“Bozeman feel” as we plan for a livable, safe ,
affordable, more connected city.
4.5 Housing and Transportation Choices
Vigorously encourage through a wide variety of
actions, the development of sustainable and
lasting housing options for underserved
individuals and families. and improve mobility
options that accommodate all travel modes.
4.6 Transportation Priorities
a)Enhance non-motorized transportation.
b)Commit to the four P’s of Bozeman’s SAFE Plan (Streets Are For Everyone):
Physical, Policy; Policing; Promotion.
c)Update the Transportation Master Plan to prioritize:
1.Human life and safety over vehicular speed and convenience.
2.Street design that promotes the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and
micro -mobility users of all ages and abilities.
3.Promotion of active living by working to improve pedestrian, bicycling,
and transit spaces.
4.Adequate, sustained and dedicated funding for active transportation.
