RESOLUTION 2026-56
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, TO
CHANGE THE NAME OF THOMAS DRIVE TO NORTH 27th AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA.
WHEREAS, this Commission, on June 2, 2026, adopted Resolution No. 2026-44,
pursuant to which this Commission declared its intention to change the name Thomas Drive to
North 27th Avenue, said street being along the west side of Lot 3 Remainder of Minor Subdivision
210, between Cattail Street and Baxter Lane, in Section 35, Township 1 South, Range 5 East, as
shown on attached Exhibit A, Gallatin County, Montana, as allowed under Montana Code
Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 14, Part 41; and
WHEREAS, notice of passage of the Resolution of Intention was duly published in the
Bozeman Daily Chronicle on June 13, 2026 and June 20, 2026, which is on file with the City Clerk
of the City of Bozeman, and;
WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of said Resolution has been mailed, in all respects in
accordance with law, to all persons who own property that abuts the above described street,
and;
WHEREAS, said notice, as published and noticed, designated the 14th day of July 2026,
at 6:00 o’clock p.m., in the Commission Room in the City Hall Building, Bozeman, Montana, as
the time and place for hearing objections; and
WHEREAS, within the protest period, 1 (one) protest was filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Bozeman, and the inhabitants therein,
that the name of Thomas Drive, be changed to North 27th Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,

Montana, to wit: the road name of Thomas Drive, along the west side of Lot 3 Remainder of
Minor Subdivision 210, between Cattail Street and Baxter Lane, in Section 35, Township 1 South,
Range 5 East, as shown on attached Exhibit A, shall be approved and changed to North 27th
Avenue.
The City Clerk of Bozeman is hereby directed to record this Resolution in the Gallatin
County Clerk and Recorder’s office and;
The City of Bozeman Engineering Department is hereby directed to take all steps
necessary to change the name.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 14th day of July 2026.

CERTIFICATE AS TO RESOLUTION AND ADOPTING VOTE
I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting recording officer of the City of Bozeman,
Montana (the “City”) hereby certify that the attached resolution is a true copy of Resolution No.
2026-XX entitled: “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THOMAS DRIVE TO NORTH 27TH AVENUE, IN THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA.” (the “Resolution”), on file in the original records of the City in my
legal custody; that the Resolution was duly adopted by the City Commission of the City at a
meeting on July 14, 2026, and that the meeting was duly held by the City Commission and was
attended throughout by a quorum, pursuant to call and notice of such meeting given as required
by law; and that the Resolution has not as of the date hereof been amended or repealed.
I further certify that, upon vote being taken on the Resolution at said meeting, the following
