- Construction temp walls, sound barriers may be required
[A/E – Requirements for temporary walls and sound barriers will be coordinated
between Owner and GC after award of BID. GC should assume that it is generally
acceptable to plan on relying on closed doors into the space to satisfy the needs of
both temp walls and sound barriers. – OWNER TO CONFIRM]
- Plumbing tie in location is likely above a hard lid ceiling
[A/E – The tie in location shown is based on record drawings. The GC will need to
coordinate actual locations in field as req’d to accomplish new work, and is
responsible for patching and repairing any finishes. GC will need to coordinate with
OWNER for timing and duration of any work that is req’d to be completed outside of
the main project area.]
- Existing speakers in main staff office may or may not be included in scope, clarification
required.
[ARCH – existing paging system components will be relocated. Updated drawings
will be published in future addendum]
- Site security for laydown area is a concern; project is in a busy area and there is a
potential for vagrancy
[OWNER to advise on preferred laydown area – OWNER and GC will coordinate
final location and security after GC is selected. OWNER to clarify if costs should be
included in bids, or if this will be negotiated after award of bid, prior to award of final
contract] Laydown and ingress/egress will be negotiated after award, but we
would be willing to look at potential logistical plan if a contractor chooses to
include within their proposal.
- Construction parking not yet defined
[OWNER to advise] Select, reserved parking will be made available to
contractors but the number of stalls and location of stalls is yet to be
determined.
- Discussed any known unknowns:
- M: Exact locations of existing return air transfer openings are unknown. Everything
on plan was drawn from published as-builts, but a lot of the transfer locations are in
inaccessible ceilings. These openings need to be preserved.
- P: Exact routing and sizes of plumbing. Everything on plan was drawn from
published as-builts.
[ARCH - Drawings describe design intent based on existing information and
verification on site – GC is responsible for confirming configuration of existing
work and maintaining functionality of systems noted to remain in place]
