Assumptions/Clarifications:
HCP will rely on the information provided by the utility owner, including, but not limited to, information obtained
through
the Montana 811 notification system, to locate and avoid underground utilities.
HCP will not be responsible for damage to any unmarked or improperly marked underground utilities while
performing work on the project.
Pricing is good for 30 days from the bid date.

Description of Proposed Solution
High Country Paving plans beginning on the East parking lot
1. Closing of the East Parking lot
2. Saw cutting along the existing curb and concrete approach to protect the existing concrete during the
asphalt removal
3. Removal and disposal of existing asphalt
a. Existing asphalt to be hauled to High Country Paving yard and recycled
4. Fine grading for drainage
a. Verify ADA parking meets specifications
5. Proof roll and inspection of base for unsuitable base
a. If unsuitable base is encountered. The city will be notified and together the best most cost-
effective solution will be determined to ensure the city receives a top-quality project.
6. Paving
a. Furnish and install 3” of hot PG58-28 hot mix asphalt
i. Vibratory and static rolling (Industry standards)
7. Striping of parking space and handicap symbols (Latex paint)
8. Leaving the parking lot closed for 24 to 48 hours to insure the asphalt cools
9. Open Parking lot for use
High Country Paving will close the West parking lot
1. Closing of the West Parking lot

Proposed Schedule
High Country Paving intended start date for the project will be 2 weeks after the notice to proceed is issued. We will
schedule to do the work one lot at a time, to ensure parking availability. Each lot is estimated to take a total of 5 days from
the start date, which breaks down as follows:
East Parking Lot
1. 1- days for existing asphalt removal
2. 1-day for regrade and prep.
3. 1-day for paving and striping
4. 24 to 48 hours for time and lot striping.
The lot will be able to open and ready for use on the 5th day.
The second lot West Parking Lot will not be started on until the first completed.
