Bozeman City Council,
I am writing today as a concerned Montana resident wondering why Montana tax dollars are
being spent on the BPD to support a federal law enforcement organization targeted onremoving valued community members and tearing families apart? There is no benefit to the
Bozeman community for BPD to be aiding immigration raids, and only makes the communityless safe. Additionally, why are police assisting if they have taken the stance that BPD is not
involved in ICE enforcement? I am disappointed to see the ways in which Bozeman couldcreate a safer community by simply maintaining the line of what the Bozeman Police
Department does rather than actively contributing to a less safe community. I urge you to holdthe line of civility and reject police support for an outside organization that is drawing
resources away from more important safety matters in the community.
